Evening Ride

Riding with my friends in the dust...where's that water truck?

I am surprised how much energy Kylie had tonight. It was about 90 degrees, I would have thought she wouldn't want to move to much in the heat...wrong.

After sitting at a desk all day it is so nice to be outside.

Stepped over a couple of jumps

The moon is 96% of full tonight (this was a couple of nights ago), it will be a full moon on Saturday. The bird is a giant white Egret. She is a resident at the ranch and frequently soars up and down the river looking for fish I assume. Some of the horse are not too fond of her, especially when she glides on past the ring during a lesson."For one to fly, one needs only to take the reins." ~ Melissa James

That's a great end to a day. Horses, egrets and bright moonlight! I can't say there's much better.

Yea...so lovely to see you two sailing over! Nice time..though kinda hot!....
I just found out something soo cool from the vet of the Olypmic horses, David Marlin. My hoirses Therapist went to see him and found out if your horse is overheated and needs to cool off fast...the old view of it was you could not put ice on muscles...Wrong..You can...they used the tread mill to work a horse up and took all the core and vitals...took 1 degree above ice and everything cooled off, but the muscles..prooving it will not hurt them!So...if you need to save a horse, no fear!

She is so lovely -- did you breed her? She is just exactly the kind of mare that should have babies...

Thanks so much Stacey for the compliments. I bred her four years ago and her baby is just getting started...finally. Whew! it is a long road. A picture of her baby is on the side, Mazzy. She is sweet as can be and has been so easy to work with so far. I have high hopes for her.

What fun! Kylie looks like a lovely mare and a blast to ride. I am looking forward to those tank top evening warm rides myself!

Oh, you were having so much fun and I loved your photos. Thanks for the photo of the moon as well.
I still can't get over the fact it was 90 there and we are under a frost advisory here tonight.
