Dog Beach

Murphy has been really depressed (along with us humans) about loosing his best buddy. Chad took him to the dog park, but he didn't feel like socializing much with the other dogs, how sad. Today we decided to take him to him most favorite place...the dog beach! He had fun but was kind of lost without his tag team partner. The routine was always he'd brave the waves for whatever object he was fetching and Kora would wait in the surf and grab it as soon as he got to her. He was completely happy with it, he actually dropped it for her and then we'd chase her around trying to get the ball back. She LOVED being chased. They had a perfect relationship.

It was a beautiful day.

This little guy was all suited up in his life preserver.

Eerie....this dog came along and looked so much like Kora. She took the ball from Murphy and then went along her way. It gave both Chad and I the chills.

  1. Great post. I really enjoy reading them. I'm sad for Murphy too. I suppose he'll have a lot of adjusting to do. Give him lots of love :)

Very eerie about the other dog. The universe spooks me sometimes!

It sounds like you have a nice day. Hope you enjoy tomorrow.

  2. You know, after my Sadie passed on, I had quite a few "sightings" of her for awhile. I have no doubt that Kora sent that rottie to the beach for you and Murphy. :)

  6. I have been out of town and just read that you lost Kora. I am so, so sorry for your loss! I know it is the hardest thing to go through, even when you know it is coming. Dogs become so much a part of our lives. I'll be thinking of you!
Looks like an awesome place to take Murphy too. Very beautiful.

So sorry to hear about Kora, it's hard to lose our friends and miss them so much after they're gone.
    Beautiful beach.

  8. that is sad... When our Emma was getting old, we got a "puppy" to keep her company. It's sad when one of the pack is gone. Great beach... and that really looks like a lion!
