Flintridge Autumn Classic

The weekend was a success for my jewelry booth and a success for my barn mates who all had shining moments...especially Jennifer Jacky who won the PCHA Medal Finals. I set up my jewelry booth in a perfect location with a great view of the rings. It was a perfect place for my friends to gather and watch the show. I was happy to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks to everyone who supported Five O'Clock Somewhere!

Hopefully it will be a repeat success next weekend at Foxfield!

White Trash Party

Last night we went to a trailer trash party at Malibu Family Winery (Saddlerock Ranch) which is located on 1,000 acres in Malibu for Chris Ramstead's 30th B-day (its his girlfriend's parents winery). The family has a "trailer park" set up called Camp Cabernet. The space features seven chicly remodeled Airstreams, Dalton, Spartan and Shasta trailers dotting a scenic vineyard-view (they were unbelievable). It was a perfect setting for a white trash party! We drove out with the Bagan's and everyone was dressed so great! I had the ugliest pink housedress on with curlers in my hair, a ring on every finger and a black eye. Chad had a long black wig, a flat billed hat and a plaid flannel. There were lots of pregnant costumes, missing teeth, 80's rock band shirts, stretch pants, skin-tight jeans, curlers and bathrobe, heavy blue eye shadow...hilarious!! They even had redneck food...mac and cheese, coors light and lots of 40's, squirt cheese, Funions. Chris did a great job putting it all together.

Lots of new jewelry

I have been making lots of new jewelry designs for my two upcoming shows at Flintridge Autumn Classic Horse Show, La Canada, CA Sept 27-28 AND Foxfield Medal Finals and Jumper Derby, Westlake Village, CA Oct 4-5. I have not posted any of my new designs on the website, I am saving it all for the shows. I have created many new equestrian designs, including a new line of sterling silver wire horse heads. I have also been making cool glass tile pendants.

Labor Day

Chad, the dogs, and I started out our day with a visit to see Mazzy. I got on her and rode her twice around the big ring. Chad walked next to us, just in case. She was perfectly behaved. I cannot believe i am finally riding her!

We then went to Oxnard to the beach and took the dogs for a nice walk. There was a sea lion in the harbor which Murphy thought was pretty cool, especially when it "barked". Then dreaming, we drove around some neighborhoods with waterfront access and picked up a few sales fliers. Finishing off the day with a cold beer and some oysters at the Whale's Tale we sat on the deck overlooking the harbor.
