I made some amazing lip balms! I always have to have something on my lips. I cannot stand the feeling of dry lips, so I am addicted to lip balm and put loads on during the day. I can never have enough around. I have lip balm in my purse, in the car, in the pocket of every coat, by my computer, and the list goes on. This lip balm is totally refreshing and leaves a slight gloss on your lips - it is fantastic! Made with the finest Ingredients: Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Candellila Wax, Lanolin, Vit E, Peppermint & Tea Tree Oils. I have had a few testers and so far it has recieved rave reviews.
The weather here was beautiful this weekend - eighties and sunny. The weather has been so sparatic this year, so the warm weather was very welcome. It was so enjoyable to get to ride in such beautiful weather, I even rode a few extra horses to take in some extra rays and get some much needed exercise. Both my horses got bubble baths which they really needed. Kylie, just being white is hard to keep spotless, and Mazzy loves the dirt.
Unfortunatly this morning I arrived to find Kylie with a gash on her cheek. Why do these things always happen on Sundays or evenings - emergency vet call $$$. Thankfully the vet was able to come right out and suture it up. It is far from her heart, she will survive, and it was a clean cut so there will most likely me no scar.
We finished off the weekend with some friends at Gus' BBQ in South Pasadena.

Hope Kylie is better. Good idea to make your own lip balm!
Poor Kylie. I'm so glad it wasn't worse!
I have to say I am so jealous reading your post about your weather and your riding time. We're sitting under about 12 feet of snow and it's still snowing :)and trail riding is difficult to say the least.
I should have ordered some of your lip balm yesterday but I'll remember next time.
I was wondering why you use castor oil in your lip balms? As a vegetarian, that would turn me off your products. Is there nothing else you could use to same effect?
Just dropping by with a question and an EC card.
Castor Oil is vegetarian. It is extracted from the castor oil plant. Each plant produces three large black seeds after flowering. The oil is then extracted from these seeds. The high fat content makes it ideal for soothing and moisturizing your skin. Castor oil readily absorbs into your skin while protecting you from the harsh elements. Also, castor oil acts as a humectant to draw moisture to your skin.
I too am addicted to lip balm - have them everywhere. I can tell my your etsy mini that I need to check out your shop!!
I hope Kylie is on the mend!
There is an award waiting for you at my blog!
I also am addicted to lip balm. Send some my way if you need more testers. I can't stand my lips being dry and used to get really chapped lips as a kid. Now I have some sort of aid in almost every room of the house, my purse, coat pockets and anywhere else I can store it.
