We are having a bit of a heat wave, it was 85 degrees today! I had a nice ride this morning on Kylie and rode 3 other horses. I was testing out my camera lens that I normally do not use. It is a macro lens, which is intended for close up shots. I usually just use it to shoot my jewelry, but I figured I'd see what kind of shots I could get today.
My friend Jennifer and her adorable horse Charles (I've nicknamed him Pinkie, because of his cute pink nose)
After riding we took the doggies for a swim. They had a blast!
On our evening walk with the dogs last night I snapped some pictures of flowers....
These two little dogs had a fit when we walked by, you can't see them too well, but they were both wearing sweaters and barking like crazy!

The place where you took your dogs swimming is just gorgous! My dogs would love it there!
Your camera took great shots of the horses! My sis was up today using her new camera, I knew we would be her test subjects!
Pictures came out great - I especially liked the one of the dog in the shadows.
great photos. Looks like you have a picture perfect spread, with horses, dogs, and water!
HI there Tara!
Lovely pictures all! Pinkie is so wonderful!I love the dogs swimming and swimming..looks good to me.
I miss my macro...my camera broke and I want to find another to put the lense on someday!
I am going to shoot some pic over to you for being Scrabble-pendant- necklaces.

Love the pics! Macro photography has always interested me, it opens up an unknown world that we pass by every day.
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
I especially like the "Murphy in the shadows" picture. Great capture!
Great pictures! The one of your friend Jennifer and Pinkie is a really cute shot! I can't believe it was 85 degrees! We had decent weather, but not that warm.
I've been playing with my new camera...no macro lens yet though I want to get one!
Those pics are great! I really love the doggie profile in the shadows. The rest were really good too though. I'm jealous! I have a Nikon that I can put on the macro setting, but I don't have the ability to change out lenses on it. What a fun day getting to ride and then take the doggies for a swim!
Great pix!! And would ou look at those crystal clear waters?? And you are near LA?? I would never guess just looking at the photos!
